powerflex trailing arm bushes

I’m changing the trailing arm bushes and see that T3/T25 and T4 inner bushes are inter-changeable. Looking at Powerflex bushes the T25 bushes are single piece but the inner T4 bushes are split and would therefore be far easier to fit. Anyone have any experience of fitting the T4 bushes to a T25?

I’m paying a garage to fit these so the quicker the job the less it will cost.

Thanks

Bob

I have not done the job on a T25, but have done other cars.

Powerflex are easier than OEM. Powerflex in two parts are easiest.

:ok

Since it would be an obvious improvement to do them in two parts in respect of easier fitting that leads me to suspect that there's probably a good reason why they're in one piece. Get yourself one of the fitting tools and they're easy enough to put in.

It's not always obvious: Saab 9-5 rear are two piece, Vectra C are one piece, almost exactly the same suspension.

Main dealer trashed new front subframe bushes trying to fit them - were most grateful when I told them to use Powerflex.

Thanks for all the comments - they pretty much echo what I'e been thinking. Tempted to go with 2 piece bushes, the Polybush ones are 2 piece but I will probably bottle out and go with originals.

rubber is best, two piece poly-bushes are just convenient, why the T3 ones are one piece I don't understand, especially as the T4 ones are two piece

Thanks Aiden, I've ordered the 2 piece bushes. I'll report back on ride quality when they've been fitted.
