TDC Sensor Removal (CU Engine)

Hoping this is a simple one...
Has anyone removed the TDC electrical sensor from the crankcase on an Aircooled 2ltr CU engine before?
Case is stripped. I know it has to be removed out towards where the flywheel was, but it won't budge.
I don't want to force it.

Why do you need to do that - AFAIK it was only used in the factory for setting up, timing is still set by dizzy adjustment

It needs plenty of force to get it out

So does it just push out?
Fully stripping the case of all components and the wire has snapped.

Is there a practical reason for needing to remove it, or do you just want to for cosmetic reasons? I ask because it's redundant and can safely be left alone.

Everything else is being removed from the case. I was going to remove this too before steam cleaning. Plus, the wire has snapped off by the plastic part sticking out of the case. I was going to repair it.
