Hi Have removed side sliding window from my van, now wish to refit with new rubber. Do i fix the rubber to the frame then fix it to the van using cord method as per windscreen fitting. The rubber is not a moulded shape but need's to be cut to length so is going to be difficult to bend to frame shape. If anyone has done this would be interested to hear from you. Thanks Tony

Hi,
Easiest method of it’s the usual seal with filler strip..
Fit seal to frame, join at the top.
Put glass into seal
Use sealant between seal and door, and if you wish glass channel.
Insert filler strip, join at the bottom.
Always helps if the rubber is warm first, either leave in the sun ( lol ) or just in a warm room.
Also use a little glass cleaner or similar to ease the glass into the seal..
Be careful with the glass, it can be brittle..
If the seal is the non filler type, then yes, the cord method it is..!!

Get the little diamond tool to fit the windows. Its cheap and makes things easy.
