Advice about changing from Diesel to Petrol engine T25

Hi there
We’ve had some real bad luck with our Diesel engine and before we spend a fortune sorting it out I wondered if anyone had any experience of changing the engine from Diesel to petrol now seeing as a lot of cities are banning diesel. Any thoughts and ideas of cost greatly appreciated.

The 2.0l ADY/AGG motor is nearly plug and play.
Do a search on here and you'll find lots of info.
There's also a lot on the brickyard forum.
If you do Facebook check out our group - VW T25 GTi Conversion club.
We have all the info you need.

It still won't get you through any of the new restrictions though. My Euro 6 engine in my new van will soon be banned also the way that things are going.

I won't go in to the relative merits of petrol vs diesel but my understanding, in London at least, is that you will have a real issue trying to certify that a conversion works to a specific emissions standard, and then get the authorities, TfL in our case, to accept that certificate as valid.

Thank you for your responses. I have been told it won’t help me re emmisons and i guess we will have to move out of London when the ulez comes to the south circular.
I’m very interested in the gti conversion and have requested to join the group to find out more.
Thank you
