My fridge seems to operate fine on gas, and 240v.

When on 12volt it still works gets cold but the fuse holder on the autosleeper control panel a re branded Labcraft CP4 gets very hot, the fuse never blows but one fuse holder has melted.

I have unscrewed the Labcraft CP4 and checked the connections at the back and everything seems okay. I was hoping for some help as to what to test next.

I am not sure if it is a problem with the fridge drawing to much power on the 12 volt or the wiring or control panel. I have a multi meter but am unsure what to test.

Melting due to high resistance in the holder either the fuse is not making good contact or the fuse is overheating. Glass type fuses are rated at their blow current, continuous current is half the rating, so for a 10A load you need a 20A glass fuse.

Many thanks, I have done some test and think it is a fault fuse holder causing the problem I have ordered a replacement so will fit that onto the panel and hopefully it will work.
