Tracking down a leak

As it starting to get warmer I thought I would track down a very small coolant leak under the van. Looks to be the temperature sender on the thermostat? Is it likely to be a perished o ring?

Either the seal perishing or the metal end of the sender can go manky especially if it’s been in there donkeys years. For piece of mind I’d change both.

Mine leaks in exactly the same place- really pisses me off, changed plastic housing, pipe and clamp. Still leaks. Going to try fitting a spring clip,

Do you know if you get much coolant coming out when you change them (did you when you replaced them Sir Brixalot)?

I’ve just done that job and lost a couple of litres of coolant. Just place a bucket underneath to catch coolant and make sure the engine is cold.

Be careful with that metal plate, it's sharper than it looks. Sliced my finger on it.
