changing coolant

Evening all,
Having owned the van for 3 years now I'm going to change the coolant in the next few weeks. I will be
following the Baxter method and hope for a trouble free first go.
Then I had a thought! How do you get 10+ ltrs out of the van in the first place....plenty tell you how to get it in and
get the air out of the system but can't find the best way to get it out first...I know I need to tap the system, but which pipe do I pull off of what!
and do I let the old coolant run up my sleeve, down the drive to the gutter, with a quick rinse down after? so I don't have several dead cats on my
property in the morning all in a state of mid-lick
Also flushing out the system for the remaining 6ltr. Simply shove a hose up a pipe and turn on full pelt until it runs clear?
then same for rad?
Thanks for any words of wisdom.
