Anybody know if this is a MOT fail?
I rerouted my breather to air becuase of condensation / mayo in winter and wondering if it will fail an MOT?
easy enough to put it back but easier not to.

thanks

Don't think they even look at the engine do they? So long as it's not leaking into the floor..

Have had a mini filter on my 1.9 DG for the last 10 years. Never had an issue at MOT time. (including engine inspection by examiner) 25mm crankcase breather filter. £4.99 on Ebay. Item number 281560776119.

All breathers used to be open , it’s not on the Mot criteria unless it’s dripping oil

Could you not stick the end in a collection tin/bottle for the day?

Regards

Yes I could but quicker to just reconnect the hose to the carb, this is not for emissions just interested to know if it passes. Nothing drips from the pipe.

Passed the MOT with breather rerouted to the engine bar area with a long pipe.

Well done,

Any twitches from the tester about ''what was that?'' or ''where does that go?''

none

I asked if they had the emissons print out and they said they don't do it pre 92.
Pre 92 do what you like I think.

no advisories either.

I use an MoT only place. Anybody else has motive to fail you.
