Switched live - everything switched live is dead

If you have time - I'd welcome some clues.

When a turned on the internal blower, it started up, then suddenly stopped. I'm sure I heard or 'felt' something blow. The van runs fine. Anything non switched live is fine. No fuses are blown. Headlights for instance work both as dim with ignition off, and normal; bright and mainbeam when ignition on. (Can hear the lighting relay click in)

Anything switched live doesn't work. Wipers/waterjet + dash gauges I added, charging points that are from switched live etc. I didn''t try the horn yet - I guess that will be dead too.

Is there a relay that provides power to this 'circuit' or should I start at the key-iginiton for bad worn out connections?

Any starter for ten appreciated.

headlights and engine are separate circuit, i would look at the ignition switch .

the X relay provides ignition switched power to many circuits on the van (including the fresh air fan) in order to reduce the current through the ignition switch so check the relay 2nd from left bottom row it is a number 18 relay part number 191 937 503 this is for 1986 model year onwards, earlier wiring I'd have to look at the Bentley manual

First, really need to know if it an early bullet fusebox or the later blade fuses.
