Spare wheel question

Is it possible to fit spare on front a la bay stylee? If so how & how easy?

yes you can but I think Aircooled vans are ok but waterleakers may have cooling problems :D

Its an Aircooled so thats fine...is it just as simple as bolting a suitable bracket on?

get a braket for a bay from jk or the likes and fit it on! i've always thought they better on the back anyway!

I think they look better on the back - if you have to move them from their designed position - same as them thar external sun visors...you either like them or loathe them.

Considered the back but have 2 reservations...

will a fiamma bike rack still fit and,

will tailgate still stay up on its own or will I need to take a tall strongman with me everywhere?

Why cant the wheel stay under the front out of harms way?

You would need to fit one of them swing out spare wheel carriers at the rear IMHO.

Why take on the bother?

you may have to alter the grill..... but I have got all the kit available here
