Hi folks,

My current installation of a cruise control is going south.

I have finally tracked down the problem In an attempt to get it working. I think so anyway

I have no speed signal going to it. I bought this http://www.gowesty.com/product/cruise-c ... sensor-?v=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; rather than putting a sensor on the driveshaft at the back of the van.

Is there a way for me to test if the VSS works?? or is there an alternative to this?? Any ideas?? My speedo bounces a bit but not too bad, would that be a problem??

Im going to answer my own question. Asked Go Westy... this is what they said...

Make sure that the red wire has voltage (key on) and the black wire is grounded. Use a multimeter to measure the voltage between the grey wire and ground. Remove the speedometer cable, and slowly turn the cable port on the back of the speedometer. You should see the voltage rise, then fall back to zero as the speedometer spins.

It is a very a basic way to measure but it will give you an indication.

From what I remember from my install that I had to cut the wire loop at the MS50 to match the pulses coming from my sensors
and to set the sensitivity on the MS50.
