Hello,

My odometer has never worked since my ownership of my 1980 CT van..

But to be in conformity with the new VAST Euro regulations (concerning camper van conversions) it must do so...

Can any one help, there was an article a long while ago IIRC..

Or I could just manually advance it for the MOT..

IIRC the main fix was to superglue the gearwheel to the shaft. It may have been on the Brickyard.Found this one http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/broke ... 57876.html
My suggestion was to file/grind a small flat on the shaft and make a corresponding flat in the gear and then glue a sliver of shimming brass in to make a key. More dismantling to achieve this though.

yep

that second repair with superglue is still going >20K miles since then.
