Hello,

How do I find out which Brickwerks cylinder head gasket is right for my AAZ turbo engine before taking the head off. These are the 3 Brickwerk gasket choices

1 notch - 1.53mm thick to suit piston protrusion of .66mm to .86mm
2 notch - 1.57mm thick to suit piston protrusion of .87mm to .92mm
3 notch - 1.61mm thick to suit piston protrusion of .93mm to 1.02mm

You need the head off to measure deck height

You probably need the head off first, but have a look to see if you can see the botched bit of the gasket, they usually poke out the side of the head

I wouldn't rely on what is there currently - lazy people tend to just whack the thickest one on without measuring the piston protrusion.
