Subaru conversion - fuel pump / filter location and fittin

Hi
Progress continues -
I have the "kit" of inlet and return pipes from brickworks, and will be bolting up the pump to chassis rail and splicing the filter in line soon
- the kit includes the thicker bore pipe from the tank outlet of about a foot ... so determines the location of the pump to chassis rail location
Any additional advice or tips on doing this re location etc
I might mount the pump on rubber bobbins (if you know what I mean ?)
Thanks
Matt

You should find plenty of images online, it's same location and arrangement as the wbx 2.1. rubber mounts a good idea, probably in the mounting kit you've bought? Tank goes to pump, goes to filter, goes to engine

Thanks for quick reply
No rubber mounts in the bracket kit from brickwork - its a clamp and bracket for the pump - being a bit lazy but saves me time making something up that won't look as good.
I will have a google at images
Thanks again
Matt

I would have the filter before the pump - could well save ruining a pump with tank debris.

I used the same location as slowcoach, tucked up out the way but below the tank outlet. I’ve been told, including by RJES, a lot of pumps get noisy and fail early from being above the outlet. I used big pipe brackets bolted to a plate and then bolted the plate to rivnuts in the chassis rail

Don’t use cheap braided hose if you need more use the quality fibre reinforced injection hose like BW sell.

injection tank has a mesh filter in it to protect the pump and the high pressure filter comes after the pump to protect the injectors

Thanks everyone for reply.
Good progress this morning ....
Engine and box have been mated
Now in situ albeit on the floor under the van.
This afternoon I'm doing the speed sensor/front extension harness to dash, and bolting the ecu/fuses/relays under the seat...
hopefully bolting in the engine and box tomorrow and attacking the rear shift rod to lengthen and bend it so it changes gear when I move the stick
Thanks again for reply and I know where i am with the fuel pump and mounting too
Best
matt

Why do you have to bend the linkage rod ?

Its a bit different on a 1.6 diesel
I have to extend the rod by 6 cm and bend it a bit to make it work - otherwise get a petrol one
RJES kit came with a sleeve and instructions on how to adapt it.
As soon as the bracket arrives the engine will be bolted in
Thanks again for the bracket
