Spare wheel mounted on Paulchen bike rack.

I want to move my spare wheel carrier which is currently mounted on a plate welded to my bike rack from the middle to the left hand side in order to have a clearer view. Can anyone recommend someone who could bend some steel tube for me so that I can add abreinfofcing extension piece to the NS of the rack? Thanks Image

I’m thinking of a ‘D’ type shape but the other way around.

We have a Paulchen spare wheel carrier that we bought for our van which is designed to bolts to one of their racks which you could use instead of welding. We don't strictly require it any more so you're welcome to have it for £30 if you want. I don't have a picture to hand but I'll try to get something this evening.

Silver- yes that was my aim, if Cliffs idea does not suit then yes my plan is to weld on an extra section to the N/S. I could use square section but would be ugly and would like to retain an original look +

I see, y’all have seen the top quality of my welding and are forming into a smug onlooking
posse. Well, pretty it ain’t but it’s lasted 6 years, 8 counties and around 25k miles. Note taken!

Apologies for the delay in getting a picture - it took me a while to find it.

It was made for a T4 hence the PCD spacing and drilled holes suit the T4 wheel and rack dimensions. I added an adaptor plate and re-drilled the bracket holes to put the rack slightly lower and to the right so that it doesn't hit the roof when the tailgate opens.

You'll need to source some saddle clamps and bolts to fix it to your rack as the ones it came with are not to hand.

All sorted!

I'd definitely bolt it on rather than welding it though. :-D
