Trigger wire what size wire and crimp

The female crimp on the red and black trigger wire is on its last legs and maybe the problem I currently have with the click click click click and then eventual start up. I need to strip back some wire and put on a new crimp. Can anyone point me in the direction of the right size crimp or size of the wire please. I have some crimps none of which seem big enough or man enough for the job. Also best way to cut the red and black wire cleanly ? There's not enough slack to mess about and I don't want to replace the wire !
Thanks in anticipation
Al

You need a 6.3mm spade/Lucar terminal to fit 4mm2 cable.
You need proper cable strippers and cutters and the right sized crimping tool. If the cable is oxidised at the end, mix up some white vinegar and salt in a small pot and soak the cable in to remove the oxidation.

Bigherb,
big thankyou. The crimps and crimper that I have definately ain't up to this job, or in fact my wire strippers. I have cut an inch or so off with a hacksaw and it's looking a bit black and oxidised so I will try your tip.
Thanks again
Al

For the ignition terminals like this?

Crimpers are around £20 from places like rapid electronics

Oi I know what I mean !
Nope my side cutters couldn't touch it. I put a cable tie around the wire to give a nice edge to cut to and carefully cut the wire with a hack saw. The wire was held against a piece of sacrifice wood.
The Big Herb tip worked for cleaning up the copper and it went from black to shiny with a little bit of help from an old tooth brush.
I got the 6.3mm Lucar terminals from TLC, 0.8 pence each. I will also put some heat shrink tubing over the cable/terminal for a better insulated finish, that is once the gasman buggers off and i can get on with it.
Fingers crossed that the starting problem is solved.
