Storing Engines

I have just bought a 2.1DJ to replace my 1.9DG. I will be doing the work once we’ve stopped camping so, I guess, about the middle of October.
Any recommendations for storing the 2.1 until then? It currently is empty of all fluids so it could be shipped.
I guess plugging the coolant out and ins then 50/50 antifreeze, as a minimum. Any oil needed?
Any advice gratefully received. Cheers, Mark

if you are only storing it for a few weeks , just block any open orifaces and leave it be, i wouldnt worry about adding oil or coolant. there will be plenty oil residue left on the internals and coolant isnt needed .

Thanks for the advice. Hopefully, the new one turns up tomorrow- I’d like to fit it straight away and store the DG, however I have no real clue what I’m doing yet so it might take some time!

I can store your 2.1 in my van if you like and I’ll even run it in for you too [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]
Just out of interest where did you buy it?

Bought it off the For Sale posts on here. Time will tell if it was a wise purchase.........
Hoping to get it into the van in the next few weeks. I'm planning on putting in the fuel injection system and removing the carb so will involve a new tank and pump etc.
I shall do an Engine Swap thread when the task begins
