I'm looking to retrim my front seats which will mean taking them apart. I've trawled wiki, and various topics but can't find any diagrams or guides.
Does anyone have a link to a detailed diagram or guide?
My main concern is how to separate the back from the base, it seems to be spring-loaded as part of the recliner mechanism. I can see springs flying everywhere if I just go in and start taking it apart. I can probably figure out the rest of the process myself.

The Bentley manual has basic diagram and descriptions, it can be a bit tricky to do but there wont be any springs flying about. ive done it a few times including full retrim with ready made covers and was a bit stressful. I could give you the description as stated in the manual if you cant find it. What sort of retrim are you doing, are you keeping it original ?

I'm looking to use the kit from Newton Commercial. I've just fitted a set of their door cards and i'm pleased with the quality.
