Westfalia seatbelt position

Planning ahead by a long way at the moment, looking at interior kitchen units.
The original units in my van left a small gap on the floor behind the drivers seat so that the cupboard side cleared the seatbelt mechanism mounted on the drivers B pillar.

When you look at the Westfalia setup it looks as if the kitchen unit buts up tight against the drivers seat box.

(Sorry about the grainy image, captured from internet)

Could someone please take a photo of their van for me, showing the seatbelt arrangement and how it clears the cupboard side. Does the cupboard have a cutout at the back, or does the seatbelt hide within the cupboard?

Thanks, John

Here's a photo of the arrangement in my Autohomes.

The reel is in a recess in the cupboard, which is tight against the seat box.

Having the unit against the seat box limits how far back you can move the seat. You can see I have trimmed the top of the unit by 30mm or so to get maximum seat travel.

Thanks for that, I can see that the seat will be compromised if its too close.
Guess the aluminium sheet offers protection to the belt.
Cheers, John

I think maybe the difference is the box the swivel seat sits on - possibly different in a westy/caravelle??

original westfalia cabinets have a cutout for the seatbelt roll and have a small metal guide to keep the belt close to the pillar
I only found a video: https://youtu.be/MG_chItVp8k" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That is absolutely brilliant. Many thanks for finding that.
I will be able to use that info when I do my final layout of cabinets.
Cheers

A couple of pics if they're any help. One of the cutout for the retractor reel, and one showing the top rear edge cutout with metal trim and accompanying metal belt guide.

Thats absolutely brilliant. Thanks very much.
Just an extra question: when you look into the cupboards do you see the seatbelt or is there a false back or a stepped back to them hiding the belt?
Thanks again guys.
