If you can't be bothered cutting and shaping any seats to make them fit then yool just be looking for some of the same as you have then,,,
Regards,
Fritz,,,,,,,,,
PS, I was gunna give you a link to a fine site that explains how to fit alternative seats, but theres no point ........

Rover 220 coupe seats are a pretty good fit (Guz, back me up on this)
Biggest problem with other brand seats is they lift your thighs up into the steering wheel (if your a porker like me anyway!)
The Rover ones have height adjustment, wind them right down and bingo! your in the right place
Do have to drill a hole for the front mounting but you don't have to remove the VW rails to make them fit. If memory serves me right, the Rover sliders sit just outside the VW rails so very little cut / shut to make work.
Not a bad looking seat either, half leather, semi bucket shape

I have Rover ones in mine too, easy to make fit, but there is some work involved.

Perfectly fine, in lowest position, but still will be a bit higher than standard seats. Although, I have since remounted them with the original rails removed, just to make them a centimetre or so lower!
Cheers,
Sam.

Just fitted MG Metro seats in ours (finally

) they were way too wide for VW runners so I've put a steel plate across the runners, captive nuts pushed along the runners and bolted the seats to the plate and then to the runners ... result.
Andy BBB's right, even with my 'athletic' thighs

the seats quite near the steering wheel. Don't forget you'll need the original runners too for adjustment.
