Source starter motor

1987 T25 Automatic 1.9L petrol
I need to buy a starter motor - have had several problems as have already been supplied starter motors for manual transmission which do not fit.
I know the Lucas part number is LRS01179. Does anyone know an Equivalent Bosch part number (or other suitable manufacturer)?
Also can anyone recommend a reliable supplier?
thanks

Have you tried ECP I bought one for my 2.1 (is the 1.9 different?) a while back while my high torque one was being refurbished.

Just realised ECP is Euro Car Parts - did try them. First time they supplied the wrong part. Second time the solenoid was faulty on the refurb. They now have nothing available. That's why I am after other suggestions but thanks all the same.

Where are you in the country? You could try G & C Auto Marine in Bournemouth tel 01202 575260. Used him over the years for some weird and wonderfull stuff and he's excellent with reasonable prices. If too far to travel i imagine you could post yours to him for refurb and return or i know from others that he's been able to source stuff that other suppliers haven't

Thanks Stuart - complicated story - Original starter motor traded in with ECP when they supplied me with the faulty one. Newer faulty one has gone back to ECP who have refunded. I am now without starter motor. Thanks for the suggestion.

Euro owe you a starter, working or not and regardless of the refund. Demand that they provide you with one or threaten legal action. You have been robbed!

Unfortunately, you cant just walk into a factors for parts for a T3 any more, the last ones were made 25 years ago and most factors can't seem to cope with anything thats more than 5 years old.
