Hi Guys

Do I need a puller to remove the oil pump on my DG ?

I watched a video on youtube but I think that was an Aircooled 2.0 Guy used a puller that broke!

I have an annoying oil leak from one of the pump gaskets

Also do I have to buy the 4 excessively expensive nuts with the sealer on them or is there another way ?

The nuts you speak of are £3.20 from Brickwerks or use some that red sealant stuff, Dirko.

Slacken off the casing bolts above and below the pump to ease off pressure from the crankcase. Then you won't break the puller.

Not all pumps are threaded ... IF the old pump is being replaced you can use a rawlbolt expanding casing, a weight and threaded rod to slide hammer the pump out.

Last question (puller has arrived)

Haynes manual is telling me about single groove pulley 60 nm and three groove pulley 315nm

Im presuming they mean belt grooves ?

Mine has just one so shouldnt be stupidly tight
