Not ready to refit these as yet, but the ones fitted are original and the lenses and the bulb holders need replacing, plus the plastic housing is brittle and undoubtedly will fall apart soon!!
Yes, brickwerks do replacements, but at around £30 each seems really steep ..
Has anyone used others for this??
Maybe an led replacement?
Thanks

I was thinking of this also, seen these

Or there is another Cov Kid enery in the wiki, doing your own

I might just go down the Campervan culture route £8

Do these LED ones last much longer than the standard bulb? I always forgot to check the plate lights for the MOT!

Much longer, original bulb is 5w and the LED 0.12w. Doubt you will ever need to replace them again.

Ok thanks, I might look into these then!
One area interested in, is these as side lights. I hate the taking out the whole headlight light thing to replace the side lights. Would these work in combo fine with say Osram Nightbreakers?

ooo not sure on that, might have to get some further advice on it, I dont see why not but the only reason I say that is they might not be not legal for road use in Europe on the exterior of a road vehicle.

Ok thanks was wondering this as the side lights remain on with the headlights, I was wondering what the throw would be like. IE both together, would that be too bright!
Though look perfect for the number plate lights though.

If I were doing this job again I'd get rid of both lights and stick a short LED strip under the lip. Lot simpler and a couple of quid.

I suppose that is MOT-able? I suppose if the bulbs are not present not testable?

Just remove old holders if you like but providing number plate is illuminated, it'll pass.
Opt for warm-white rather than the ridiculously bright ones. Will look better.
