Water coming in from sliding window....any quick fix’s

So
Completely stripped out van to fit rear seat belts lay new ply etc. Under and through the kitchen units in right hand front corner under the sliding window and behind the driver seat was about a dozen holes. I thought at first that it was for fridge ventilation. Realise now after working in the van in the rain last night that it was obviously to drain all the water that gets in through the sliding window somewhere!! Anyway by this point it’s to late as I’ve already welded it up
and plywood over. Christ.
Could drill more holes put would like to try to stop it at source. Any advice or tips please peeps?
