Help- Rock and Roll Hinges and insulations

I'm just starting in ernest on my panel van conversion and would really like some help?

Rock and Roll hinges
Has anyone used the hinges from Just Kampers.? The instructions aren't very good so any help on positioning would be really useful. To make matters worse to need a vice to actually move them into a suitable position.

Cushions
I've cushions from 1st attempt at a seat/bed and want to know how people keep them in position , is Velcro enough?

Seat Belts
What do I need to think of re positioning of the seat boards and seat for when I add the seat belts?

Insulation

I think the current scruffy ply lining could do with some insulation (heat and sound)
I'm thinking of using rockwool/ selotex but I think I need to cover it with a membrane of some sort ..any ideas on what to use ?

Thanks

Jody

I do belive the JK R+R hinge instructions are a little vauge to say the least, my suggestion would be to get in touch with the Grumpy Midget who has used similar items and had to take some measurements of my Devon Camper we used to have, so he could get his to work properly.......It is no good me trying to explain 'how to' coz I don't know.

Cushions can be held in place with the new seat belts you are about to fit, other than that hidden straps/velcro/ nomore nails is as good as anything.

Seat belts arn't usually a problem provided you buy the correct ones for the job. If you are fabricating some out of another vehicle then you may run into problems with length etc, etc.

As far as insulation goes, you'll wish you had put more in if you are up for winter camping , then in summer you'll be roasting like a stuck pig. So the choice of what you use is up to you just go for some which is fire retardent.
I used fibre filter matting which was left at work by some guys who had serviced the spray booth,,,,,,

PS, if your hinge is stiff pour some lubricating fluid on it and give it a good work out with your fingers... :D

what fritz says!! for the insulation use rock wool and then using double sided tape and visqueen or thick polly sheet, you can hold it in place/cover it, and then you can put your ply lineing back or cover it first and put it back!
