...I have a 1.7 Ky Diesel engine,would a 1.6 cs exhaust pipe from manifold to silencer fit a 1.7 ky engine ?

The reason I ask as that is what appears to be fitted to mine ! Have looked at various pictures on brickwerks/ vw heritage and my down pipe most definitely looks more like a 1.6 !
My silencer is the correct one for a 1.7
Angle of the pipes are similar

I’ve owned the van for 5 years only reason I noticed is because I had a slight blow on the down pipe that I’ve patched up for now with gun gum and a sleeve.

Any experts shed any light ?

I spoke to a very helpful chap at VW heritage, the manifolds on the 1.6cs and 1.7ky are the same so as long as you have a matching down pipe and silencer either will work.
i.e 1.6 cs down pipe and silencer or 1.7ky down pipe and silencer.
