Is there a hole at the bottom of the gear box?

As the title says. I’m trying to trace an oil leak and think my crank seal might have gone. Oil looks like it’s coming out of the little “bump” at the very bottom of the gear box where it meets the engine.

If I turn the engine over anti-clockwise (was doing the rockers) I get a little pool of oil under that point

Any help appreciated :ok

Thanks

Paul

Yes although it is on the engine side, for just that fault.

The smell of the oil will define its origin. If relatively odourless it'll be engine (crankshaft seal) and if oil stinks, it'll be gearbox seal.

Yeah it’s defo engine oil....just trying to trace from where. Found this location but double checking it wasn’t tracking from somewhere else :ok
