Alternator 65/90 amp

Think the alternator has given up the ghost red dash light been flashing
now staying on constantly can I fit a90 amp one on in place of existing
fitted
1.9 petrol 1985

Mine was just a straight exchange, no difference regards fitting or pulley diameter. The only other observation is that post 86 vans have a higher 'exciter' current than earlier vans but that should not make any difference.

Just replace the brushes/regulator. Cheap and easy fix. Why buy a new alternator?
