Passenger engine mount - retainer bracket

Hi All

new member, bought a non-running van with an AGG engine (minus bits) so I'm trying to pull it all together. I appear to be missing a retaining bracket from the passenger engine mount. I believe it goes between the mount and the chassis rail. Its unavailable from VW, and Brickwerks and VW heritage dont stock it any more.

I understand you can make one from a pattern off the drivers side engine bar end bracket but I don't know how much the recess is in the middle in mm?

Regards
Paul

I’ve looked into this too as I’ve problems in this area I think. As far as I recall there is an alternative engine bar used on the Carat or maybe Caravelle, with rubber bushes, that is available from VW Classic Parts. I’ll try to look again over the weekend.

thanks for the replies, I'd like to stick with the engine bars I have as I bought a load of parts for £500 to help speed up the AGG conversion and the bars that were part of that and have been galvanised.

I don't want to spend another £50+ buying different ones!

I believe there is also plates missing from the back panel /crossmember too?
