Lend it to me! No seriously, it’s the head room left in the gearbox that’s the problem. Brim it, then it’ll be ok but check seals intermittently. Coat exposed shaft with grease.

I was thinking leave the oil and turn it over once in a whhile but if its old oil maybe it's not such a good idea.
I'm not brimming it because I have two and it would cost alot.

store it in normal attitude with 4 litres of oil in it, every month put it in top gear and turn the input shaft a dozen times or more to recoat the gears and shafts with oil, ideal dry storage in relatively stable humidity - an old clutch disc makes driving the gearbox input shaft easy

That's all I do, stored level, never had an issue. Don't allow the box to get water underneath, the aluminium turns to powdery dust - had that on a T25 engine /box I bought.

on a pallet in a shed
one has oil the other empty so I wil fill with oil
good idea on the clutch Aidan I have an old one.
