Just fitted recon engine ( 1.9 DG Petrol ), got started now but having problems with an oil leak.
Across from the Sump / Drain plug is an Allen Key bolt/plug. This is the one leaking!!
Tried different one but no good.
What is directly above whole??? If anything, and what does the bolt screw into??
Any ideas anyone. Cheers.

Sump plug hole is threaded directly into engine case, have you got a new copper washer on it? it will leak without a copper washer, don't try any other washer type.
If it won't tighten threads are stripped its quite common, if tuats the case it needs helicoiling.
You should really use a torque wrench if you want the threads to last 25Nm
There is nothing above for a couple of inches at least

I think the OP is referring to the bolt that secures the oil pickup/strainer in place. It screws into a captive nut that is welded onto the strainer.
A copper washer, and perhaps a smear of sealant, should stop it leaking. Be VERY careful not to dislodge the strainer when refitting - it's quite unlikely that you will, but if you do you'll probably have to split the case to put it back in place.
