Cable routing - Roof/C-Pillars

My brother and I are fitting out our Caravelle with LED's. We're planning on putting them in the air vents in the back, modifying the vents so we can angle the lights. We were thinking of routing the cables for them down the C-pillars and having a switch mounted on the nearside C-pillar. However, we were having a look at the van this evening and we can't seem to get a cable down the pillar. At first we tried poking a cable in from the rear most vent, but we could see a rib which presumably goes across the roof for strength, blocking access to the c-pillar. We then tried going through the aperture for the rear courtesy light but without any success either. Is the top of the C-pillar capped off?

afaik there's no cable access to the c pillar from the gutter/vent line, the c pillar cross roof reinforcement panel is probably in the way
factory wiring for the sliding door central locking went down the b pillar, on a velle the internal light wiring comes out of the gutter on the left side and goes across the roof between the insulation sheets and the rear heated windscreen and washer wiring goes all the way along the internal gutter to the rear then under the headlining to the cable conduits/grommets to the tailgate and getting these cables out past the c pillar is awkward you sometimes have to remove the terminal housings to get the wires out

That's great, thank you Aidan. That'll save us a few hours of trying to feed a cable down somewhere it's never going to go!

Back to the drawing board then!
