Oil thrower Q

Do you know why an oil thrower from a wbx bellhousing does not fit a diesel bellhousing? Assumed they would be same? It’s a bit loose! Can I fix with job weld?

that'll be because the old oil thrower has spun on the input shaft and worn the case, the castellated edge of the oil thrower cuts a groove in the case as well as ovalising the main hole
You can use a 2 pack to fix it in but it must be properly centred otherwise the input shaft will be rubbing against it and it'll fail again
The replacement oil throwers I have made are very slightly oversize on the rim (and not castellated) so they will fit a slightly worn case and be centred but if badly worn then case needs sleeving to achieve a good result
