Help. Thrust bearing, not quite sure what to do with it. It’s a different diameter and well, just hangs there?

Thats a late thrust washer and it wont fit your early case (also the wrong way round)

Flatbed. It had a plywood surface which I wanted to get off ASAP as it’s not drying out and rotten. Underneath I find some welded steel plate. Then we get to the ribbed original base. It’s done a fair job of saving it, but the edges need some work. It’s been quite an enjoyable reveal. Two bits of ply on back board:

Valve springs came up alright. I was looking at using lemon juice but it’s about same price as this ultrasonic cleaner, so didn’t go down that path.

Safe to assume it’s the blue oil pressure switch @ 0,25 bar for under the push rods...I’m having deja vu but it’s been 3 years since the last build so you’ll have to excuse the ole memory.

No idea what the black and white ones are for.

put the engine on the flywheel some wooden blocks to raise it up to clear studs, then gravity is'nt fighting you
dont put it on the pully you wil bend it.

what about the other side did you not change lower barrel seals?

check circlips rotate in grovves once fitted if the don't rotate they are not seated
