I'd just advise checking out your local breakers/scrapyard and seeing what might fit.. anything off a car with a flar doorcard should work, and then its up to you to find it in the right colour!

I've seen Honda Accord door pulls and arm rests incorparated into beetle doors and they seemed to work quite well.. maybe one to look out for? If I come across anything I'll let you know!

Hi PEET,
This what you mean,

had these on my bus for ages, they work really
well, makes m/way cruisin more comfortable,
Very easy to do , just screw um to to door, i found that the top of the door
handle to be the right height.

I fitted the same and they were lower in the door.
I took the door cards off and found ready made holes to fit.
I bought the square fixings and bolts from VW and they are fixed solid.
If you fit in any other postion you may only be fixing to the door card.
IMHO
done it on mine
