I've begun to notice (implying that it may have always been there) a whistling noise that is present when cold. It ramps up as the engine revs, so pretty sure this is the turbo.

Is this normal, or should I take a look at something? (what?)

I started noticing a whistle, turned out to be a leaking joint in the intercooler system (jubilee clip lose came adrift).

The silencer fell off my jx and the first i knew of it was the turbo whistle. Sounded lovely, like a Perkins.

I'll have a rummage tomorrow. Cheers folks...
