Tightening up new front shock nut

Hi everyone.

How do you do the top shock nut up? The nylock covers the 6mm key to put the spanner on so the shock rod just turns when I try to tighten the nut up. Also because of the spacer sleeve and rubber bush, can't get any grips on the top of the rod. Don't want to use grips on the top of the rod as the thread will be damaged like the old one I removed. Bit stuck here :-(

Use two 1/2 size nuts and chuck the nylock one away!
