Evening all

Thanks in advance , I am hoping to get some advice and assistance.

I got my van towed towe'd to a garage at the weekend after it broke down and they got back to me today and said that the problem is with 1 of the carburettors . Thy said it was over fueling and water was also getting in........as you can tell I'm a bit of a novice. They said need a replacement carb for cylinders one and two and a new oil filter but they normally advise people to order their own parts or that it's there preference to do so.

However, this needs me to source the correct parts. Pleased can you help ?

I assume that, from what they said, I require to replace one of the carbs (drivers side) but I don't know what to get or where is best to get it from. I am on a tight budget but won't to get value for money also and more importantly I'd like to get it right so she can be up running to catch the tail end of the "summer"

Assistance is appreciated

Thanks again

Ross

CT 1600l engines only had a single carb, if you have two then it has been converted, could be any type.
It should be written on the carb body the make and type. Put a picture up might give us a clue.
If it is over fueling then it just needs a new float valve. Water getting in? Then some other problem replacing the carb won't solve it.
