Westfalia water tank cap - lost key...

I'm off camping at the weekend and can't find the filler cap key, and then to France for 10 days...
If I force the lock will i lose the ability to screw it back on?
Are spares available and how do I find the key number?
Why didn't I think to check sooner!

If I recall correctly the outer cover of the cap spins independently of the body until it has been unlocked, so it may be that you can make a hole through the outer section only which allows you to wedge the two sections together and turn the cap off, and then fit a replacement.

1/8 inch hole through. Used a punch as a key. Still seals as didn't touch the rubber seal. A little too easy really!
