Oil Cooler Issues CT 1600

Hello there,
This is my first post, although I have done a lot of reading!
I've had a t25 ct 1600 for 2 years now, and it's always had a very small oil leak. About a month ago it got a LOT bigger, on the day I was supposed to drive it 280 miles to my wedding in Cornwall. One hire car later...
I've changed the push rod tubes, I have a new oil filler pipe on order and I had the tinware off today and had a proper look at the oil cooler. It looks pretty dirty and bent inside, although the seals looked okay. I'll be putting a new gasket on plus new seals to be safe. The leaks underneath did look to be coming from that side of the engine, and some of it was looking like it came from above the push rod tubes (the wind blowing it around makes it difficult to tell). However, I was then looking for a new oil cooler to be safe (it will defo need a new one soon), and they have been totally discontinued. None to be had anywhere.
So. My questions:
1) Is it possible to renovate an oil cooler? If so, any pointers how?
2) Any bright ideas where to get hold of one for the ct engine (different from bay, bug and cu engines)?
3) Anyone managed to rig an alternative up? From a bug or anything like that with a workaround?
Thanks in advance!
