Oil grade for AFN Tdi

Hi, I wondered what the opinions of more expert members would be on the best oil grade for Tdi conversion with around 130bhp. This was a fully rebuilt engine about 8000 mile ago. The recommendations for the fan seem to be 10w40 semi synthetic but due to considerations for the turbo and the slightly sub-optimal oil return route, would a fully synthetic 5w30 be a better option?
It one of those things that my brain starts to obsess and worry about!
Thanks for any pointers or opinions.
Pete

Our 90bhp AHU TDi runs happily on 15w40 semi synthetic.

Can understand the obsession about the correct oil-however others with this conversion have had problems using a 5/30 oil which a search on the'yard or here will no doubt find. Think it was down to passing turbo seals and oil viscosity. Thereis always oil in the intake piping so why waste the good stuff?
FWIW my AFN at 50 degrees has been running on 15/40 semi since 2012 and around 20000km and I've had no problems as yet-Cheapest i can find from local autofactor plus regular changes of oil and filter is the real factor.

I always look in the manual at the manufacturer's recommendation - saves wandering through pages of opinions.
