Just put a new starter motor in my type 25 Dg,
I did buy a new brass insert but I can't see where it's supposed to go. Any ideas looking at the photo please

Is it a diesel bellhousing?
Are you putting a petrol starter motor to a diesel housing?

Looking with the engine out, this is the bush.

Oldie what your saying might be correct as the diesel starter wouldn't need a bearing due to the dome design and the bearing being self contained. The old starter is the same design as the new unit straight spigot no dome. I've fitted it and it works.
Would a diesel bell housing fit a wbx dg engine? I thought there was a length difference?

Hi C22, as requested i took some photos of the bell housing for you, if i got the wrong angle or not what you wanted let me know and i will try again. Not the easiest angle to get the phone into so i might not begetting what you want.

1990 and whizzing along. When I sort this issue I must sort the speedo cable and then air in the fuel line after that
