I've read through a lot of the chat about solar panels, right through the 'big thread' on the subject https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=127964 and got interested enough to make the potentially fatal error of having a look on Ebay...
Now, I do occasionally get a bit trigger happy and so may well have bought a pair of these:





Does anybody have any experience of this make? Do the specs seem as reasonable as I thought? Have I missed anything with them?
I notice the leads come out of the 'underneath', but that shouldn't be a problem with my new roof and I would hope to be able to run the cables from under the sealed on panel, hopefully saving me from having any cable showing outside on the roof.
The pair should fit quite nicely on the rear section of my pretty much flat roof

I guess I need to start looking more carefully at the control system now. Any top tips on the current Ebay crop?

The controller reccommended in the "solar on a westy" thread is what I fitted.
I can't fault it.

Had it for a few years now, and works well.

I've got a dual one. Agree with Kev, its the best way to do it. I think mine was about £19 but works great. I've been sat outside today in the camper doing 'stuff' (MOT monday) and had two 12v fans going in there. Two panels kept up no problem Lovely and cool!

So definitely look for dual battery capability - 10A enough with 2x120W panels or worth paying a wee bit more for 20A versions?

Well the 10A is good up to 160 Watts so there's your answer
