1) You only need to post this question in 'Technical' - no need to post in 'General Chat' as well.
2) Dave (Timbertech) in Nottingham fits high tops to T25s for around £700 plus a bit more for cupboard type doors etc if the 'upstairs' is not being used for sleeping accomodation.
3) I assume that you are asking about a T4 automatic. A Type 4 is a VW Aircooled car, the 411/412 Fastback & Variant built 1968-75. I think that VW did make T4 automatics.

thanks

i hoped it would be nearer.
No not the type 4 car the type 4 VAN.
You know the one that came after the type 25.
I think there is autos but they are rare.

Like Bowton Lad said, there is no type 4 van. It is a type 2 T4. You know the newer version of the type 2 T25.

Type 1 is the old bugs, type 2 is van/transporter, type 3 is early sedan/fastback/squareback, and type 4 sedan/squareback.

Type 2 T1 (split screen), T2 (bay window), T25/T3 (wedge or brick), T4 (Eurovan), T5. Hope that helps.... if not now you're really confused!

No but, yeah but... seriously, I didn't know that and I've had 'PUF' (see 1981 vans) for about 6 years and have been knocking around with the v-dub crew. I always thought the bays were type 2 and the wedge type 25 and the new ones type 4 and the very recent ones type 5!
I understand now. Thanks for putting me straight.
