I have the following roof light fitted to my van it says
Fiamma: D2189 Vent 1 rauchgrau on it
but a bit of plastic has broken off-
Ideally I would just like to replace the broken bit of plastic but I don't think this is going to be possible as I don't think the spare parts are available and due to the way the vent is constructed it would be hard to do so.
If not I would like to fit a replacement vent which doesn't require any cutting of my roof? I was wondering if the new 40 x 40 vent would work?
https://www.leisureoutlet.com/roof-ligh ... GXEALw_wcB without having to cut the roof. dimension of my existing vent are 42cm on the outside and 38.7cm on the inside.

I removed the inner housing tonight and took some measurements and found that the hole in the roof is 36cm x 35.5cm
So the larger fiamma 40cm x 40cm vent will not fit as this requires a 39cm square hole- I was wondering if any one has any advice for either sourcing a smaller vent or making the hole in the roof bigger?
Many thanks

Hi Many thanks for this- I just rang the Caravan Shop:
https://www.thecaravanshop.co.uk/roofli ... d_176.html about this roof light and they said that it is normally fitted to static caravans and somebody tried to fit it to a van and it didn't work very well due to the width of the housing- they tried cutting it down but it didn't work that well.
The only vent I have found that might work is this one
http://www.grasshopperleisure.co.uk/fan ... 0098-p.asp although it is fairly expensive so I might just make the hole bigger in the roof and fit the 40x40 fiamma vent- if anyone has done this any tips would be great.
thanks again

I may be misinterpreting your pictures but this looks like mine and I must have your broken part missing. Been like it for years, could you not just remove all the broken section and leave it be?
If it is the same and you do swap it out for another I am in the market for a replacement top cover since a hailstorm smashed mine
Cheers
Andy

I think I will just try and repair what I have as it isn't causing any problems or leaks at the moment. If it breaks in the future I will then look into the 40 x 40 vent.
I did find the following two vent on Ebay:

Thanks for your help
