I have a 1985DG 1900 camper I'm thinking of buying a new jk stainless exhaust has anyone got one on there van,and was it worth the money.were there any issues with it just asking cuz it's a lot of money .

Brickwerks are way to expensive,I did email vw speedshop but no one got back to me but I will try again.

Seems Speedshop are out of stock. They are probably beavering away in the workshop though.

they may be more expensive, but why do the job more than once, the warranty actually works too, and they fit!
the biggest point is, it is a exact shape copy of the original late system, so its possible to only buy the bit you need as you need it , if you dont need the whole system
no odd oil filters , no struggling to fit it, and no silly noise when you drive it , quiet asa mouse.

I do agree mocki but can't justify £800 for an exhaust plus if the wife found out I'd be sleeping in the camper.

I'd hang in for a bit. They do come up at good prices now and then. I have the patience of a saint but thats why I get stuff at ridiculously low prices. I waited THREE years to get a good quality rad. £60. Four brand new Michelins - £125. List is endless. Slowly, slowly catchy monkey

If its just the silencer falling to bits, you could always fit a bike can. I know quality comes at a price, but you don't get it back either. Its money gone. Just hang in there. Saw a complete stainless system a while back for £350. Second hand but in good condition. As I say, things do come up.

The JK one is just ok. I had one on my pickup a while back. A bit of a faff to fit, and the joints leak. Not worth the money imho. The speedshop one is much better value (it fits perfectly, doesn't leak, looks nice and sounds nice). The guarantee is "no-quibble" too. You don't need to worry about a smaller oil filter on a standard DG, either. The standard one will continue to fit fine.

Main reasons, my cast knuckle is knackered, this does away with it, the Brickwerks system does not, and my manifolds still look in good shape, and I didn't particularly want to go down the route of knackered/snapped exhaust manifold studs if I went with Vintage Speed and changed the whole system.

If in the future my manifolds do need changing I can always use the Brickwerks ones with this system. This could end up more expensive in the long run if my manifolds fail, but gets me going again now.
