How do I fit an oil pressure gauge?

On my 1986 Caravelle 1600 Turbo Diesel a transistor in the oil pressure warning light circuit has melted. The buzzer of doom sounded constantly, (though the was plenty of oil and the engine has run well) so I took out the circuit, with the intention of repairing or replacing it. I saw a post which suggested that the best repair was to fit an oil pressure gauge. I would like to know how to do this. There are two sensors, as I remember, a low pressure and a high pressure. Would I connect to both or replace one with a sensor that can tell the pressure? Where do I get the bits and how should I go about fitting it?
