I was a bit liberal with the paint. Anyone know which grade wet or dry I should use to rub the drips out before putting on another coat?

You'll be best to let it garden before atre pring sanding. I'd tickle it with 180, if that's too coarse drop down to something finer - I'm assuming you'll be recoating the entire area where the drip is.

If the paint is dry but still soft, get yourself a new Stanley knife blade, put a couple of strips of tape over each end of the blade and run the centre of the blade over the run, then leave to harden, once the paint is hard use 400 grit wet and dry held tight over a solid block so that you are only flatting down the run not the area around the run.

Cheers for the advice. I got on with it first thing this morning and although the paint had been on for 20 hours or so it wasn't properly hard and I've made a mess of it sanding. Going to rub it all down again after half term. All part of the learning process.

Beginners error - trying to put too much on at once. Applies to spraying too.

Def too thick. Might have to get a dvd on rollering

It takes along time to harden

Most paint does to be honest, but Rustoleum more so. I advocate at least 4 weeks.
