Leaking Rear Window Seal

Hi Guys,

Our newly purchased camper is suffering from a leaking rear/tailgate window causing wet and sleepless nights!

VW 1990 Vanagon/T25
Atlantic Hightop (double glazed rear window)

Both outer and inner seals of rear tailgate window are unsound allowing rain to leak into the rear cab.
This has caused corrosion around inner seal along bottom edge of window (please see photo).

We think the double gazed window needs removing, corrosion treated, and window replaced with new seals. The double glazed window unit itself is sound and does not have any damage.

This is not a job we are confident doing ourselves and are struggling to find a reliable garage that can give us a quote and carry out the repair within the next week or so.

We are based in WD6/south Herts but happy to travel for the right service.

Any recommendations/advice most appreciated.

PS we have already resealed the join between van body and high top roof which is now sound.

Thanks in advance
Jodie and Borja

The seals are easy to do yourself. We had the same issue and replaced the double glazing unit seal plus the tail gate one with seals from Brickwerks.
