Does anyone know where or how to rechroming the black plastic badges on the tailgate? My chrome lettering is the worse for wear after 30+ years in the elements. Also how do you remove them?

New ones are available, but yeah I'd be interested if anyone has a solution?

Thanks, just found one on brickwerks but currently out of stock. Quite like the idea of refurnishing the original badges, also replacement new badges, if avaliable, could total about £80...

I have a perfect transporter badge that i fitted new and removed a few years later. They are held on with 3 studs and also a sticky strip at one end.

Hi all

Also after a 'transporter' badge for back end. Don't mind about it looking tired as it will be sanded and sprayed black.

Would just like with the 3 pins and no cracks etc

Thanks all

Andy

I saw a thread somewhere recommending these chrome pens, I can't remember if it was on here or elsewhere

I've ordered one and I'll post some pics when I get round to doing it

Yes that looks good and would be interested to see how it goes, I found this which is an interesting approach to refurbing the badges http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/105828
